What we want to wear and how
well groomed we care to be has a lot to do with how we feel
mentally and physically. We have all had “down days”
or sick days, when all we care to do is schlep around in our
most comfortable sweat pants and t-shirt, and we have no desire
to brush our hair or our teeth or meet anyone’s standards
for “looking good.” When we are caring for older
adults, especially those with dementia, they may not be able
to tell us what their standard is on any given day, or what
is causing them to resist our assistance. This course
will help you to "read" behavior. It will provide and provide tricks
and tips to help you help others.
